Q: How long does your soaps or body bars stay fresh?
A: Our soaps will keep up to 1 year but are best used within 6 months from the time of purchase.
Q: What are "essential oils?"
A: Essential oils contain the true essence of the plant it was derived from. An essential oil is a liquid that is distilled from the stems, flowers, leaves, bark, roots, or other elements of a plant. Essential oils, despite the use of the word oil, do not feel oily at all. Essential oils are believed to contribute various properties to your emotional as well as physical well being.
Q: Is this soap safe for babies and people with sensitive skin?
A: All of our soaps have more beneficial oils than commercial bars. We use only 100% natural ingredients with no synthetic dyes or preservatives and have had no negative comments from our customers since we started business.
Q: What is "shea butter" and what is so special about it?
A: Shea butter is an oil derived from the African Karite tree. It is used widely in high end cosmetic products for its moisturizing properties. Shea butter is added to all of our soaps.
Q: Are your soaps biodegradable?
A: Yes, they are completely biodegradable as only natural ingredients are used.
Q: What is an "exfoliant?"
A: An exfoliant is a plant material added to the soap which gently scrubs the skin. Oatmeal is commonly used as an exfoliant.
Q: Why is your soap softer than commercial soap?
A: The glycerin content of handcrafted soaps is many times that of commercial soaps (handcrafted soaps contain 25% glycerin) and therefore full of moisture for your skin and hair. Glycerin is soft. If you can make a dent in the edge of a handcrafted bar of soap you know it is rich in glycerin.
Q: What ingredients do you use?
A: We use natural ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, wild honey, milk and shea butter. We use only top quality essential oils like lavender, ylang-ylang, jasmine, chamomile, eucalyptus as well as many others. Essential oils are 100% natural. Our fragranced varieties contain top quality fragrances which smell wonderful.
Q: How do I make my soap last longer?
A: Avoid letting water from showerheads stream onto the soap. Keep dry after use by setting it on its edge or in an elevated soap dish where it can drain. If you wish to store your soap before you use it, store in a dark, dry place like a linen closet or drawer.
Q: Where do these products come from?
A: All Home Spa products are made in Manila, Philippines.

Q: What are the gift baskets?
A: We have native baskets and carton gift boxes containing products from various lines, which can be purchased, as is. Alternatively, you can create your own gift basket or gift box by selecting products you like which we can package for you.

Q: I have sensitive skin. Can I use your products?
A: Our primary goal is to make products that pamper all skin types. We use only food grade vegetable oils, natural oxides, micas and clays for color and the finest natural plant essential oils and cosmetic grade fragrances. If you have a specific sensitivity, please let us know and we'll be happy to suggest products we think will work for you.
Our products have been used by thousands of people with allergies, sensitive skin, or special needs. We get calls, e-mails and letters on a daily basis from satisfied customers who say our products are the only ones they use.
